How to add a newline (CRLF) to the string from SQL?
There are various ways, for example, this works:
declare variable c varchar(20);
...
c = 'This is line one.
This is line two.';
This will add only line feed character LF on Linux, carriage return CR only on Mac, and CRLF on Windows. If you wish consistent behaviour accross platforms, use ASCII_CHAR function from standard IB_UDF library:
c = 'This is line one.'||ASCII_CHAR(13)||ASCII_CHAR(10)||'This is line two.';
If you don't want to use UDF, you can always put the chars in some database table, and select from it.
